SOLUTION
When the various coatings were removed, it became clear that the concrete cracks were more extensive than the owners realized. There were more than 80 lineal feet of cracks in this 20' x 40' pool, all with groundwater seeping into the pool while it was empty.
The owners chose Kryton's Krystol crack repair system. First, Krystol Specification No. 1 was used to repair the cracks and stop movement of water in all directions. Epox-1 was used to level and repair any rough concrete. A coat of Epox-9 and a coat of Vikadeck 13-320 polyurethane were applied to finish the pool surface and provide a long-term, UV-resistant finish.
Since these repairs were completed, the pool has not lost any water during operation and there has been no inward seepage of ground water or silt.
